We are the Visual Neuroscience Lab at the Cognitive Psychology department at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, led by Tomas Knapen. Our lab is also based at the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences.
We perform imaging, psychophysics, and eye movement experiments to investigate how the brain represents information – with a focus on vision. We are principally interested in how processing of sensory information changes under the influence of cognitive factors such as attention and reward.
